Robert Donald "Donnie" Hooker

Robert Donald "Donnie" Hooker, 72, passed away Saturday, April 20th, 2024, with his children by his side at home in Morristown, TN. Born and raised in eastern Tennessee, he was a man of many occupations, but trucking was by far his most loved.

 He is survived by his brothers, Joel and Carroll; his sister, Levena; his children, James, Kevin, Branden, Robert Jr., and Elizabeth; and his many grandchildren.

 Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ella Elizabeth and J.D. Hooker.

Robert was a caring father; he would talk about his children and grandchildren every chance he got; it didn't matter who was listening. Fishing was a lifelong hobby that he shared greatly with his brother, Joel. Robert would check the weather every day waiting for the next opportunity to go fishing. He took pride in his craftsmanship, if you needed something built, he was the man to go to. Robert will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
