Gary Lynn Wilder

Gary Lynn Wilder, age 66, of Whitesburg, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  He was saved and baptized  at a young age and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Kyle Wilder, Sr; mother, Minnie Pearl Drinnon Wilder; sister, Phyllis Helton; brother-in-law, Ray Cobb; husband-in-law, Steve O. Alexander.

He is survived by his wife, Julie M. Wilder of 42 years; daughter, Rachel (Anthony) Gilland; step-daughter, Misty (Fred) Lovin; granddaughter, Brianna Wykle (Hunter Lamons); grandson, Austin Wykle; great-grandson, Parker Blu Lamons; sister, Barbara Cobb; brothers, Hugh Kyle (CJ) Wilder, Jr., Johnny David (Phyllis) Wilder, and Rev. Willard H. (Sally) Wilder; brother-in-law, Gaston Helton; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Doyle Gregg and Pat McDaniel.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health, Amedisys Hospice, Fresenius Kidney Care, and caregiver, Hailee Beckwith for all the love and care they showed during Gary’s sickness.

Family and friends will meet at Hamblen Memory Gardens, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 12:00 noon for a graveside/interment service with Rev. Willard Wilder and Rev. James Williams officiating.
