Michael "Mike" Gregg Kilpatrick

Michael “Mike” Gregg Kilpatrick, age 72, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  He was of the Presbyterian faith.  He was a longtime educator in the Hamblen and Cocke County school systems. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.D. “Bob” and Nancy Katherine Kilpatrick; brothers, Rick Kilpatrick and Steve Kilpatrick.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Greene Kilpatrick; daughter, Jessica; grandson that he adored, Davis Kilpatrick Wampler; sister, Linda (Larry) Davis; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kilpatrick; along with several nieces and nephews; special friends, Greg Wampler and J.A. “Chopper” Phillips and his wife, Johnnie Sue.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Tammy Francis, Smoky Mountain Hospice, and all of her wonderful and caring employees for all the help they gave.

Per his request, he will be cremated and no service is to be held.
